CUHK Jockey Club Centre for Osteoporosis Care and Control

The Chinese University of Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Osteoporosis Care and Control, the first of its kind in Hong Kong, was set up with a donation of HKD41 million from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charity Trust in 2001. Located in the Postgraduate Education Centre, it offers primary prevention, secondary prevention, and rehabilitation programmes for osteoporosis patients. Research is also conducted in the form of genetic studies, epidemiological studies and clinical trials. Training and continuing medical education programmes for medical and health personnel are also provided.
