Distinguished Medical Alumni Award

Since its establishment in 1981, the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong has nurtured over 4,000 medical alumni and many of them have made contributions to the medical profession and the community with the noble aim of benefitting the wellbeing of mankind and building wellness for the community.

The Faculty of Medicine presents Distinguished Medical Alumni Award on an annual basis to recognize the CUHK medical alumni who have made remarkable contributions to society, and whose accomplishments, endeavors, affiliations, and leadership have honored the legacy of perfection and excellence at the Faculty.
Objectives of the Awards
To give formal recognition to the CUHK medical alumni who excel in professional endeavors and contribution to the community  
  - To encourage the CUHK medical alumni to contribute to shape a better future for society   
To provide an incentive to alumni who seek further advancement in cultural accomplishment as well as in humanitarian services  
Selection Criteria
  The Selection Panel will consider the suitability of nomination based on one or more of the following criteria:  

Global Achievement
To honor alumni who exemplify the CUHK MED tradition of excellence and have brought credit to the CUHK through their professional achievements or leadership which brings betterment of fellow human beings

Humanitarian Service
To recognize alumni who have demonstrated the CUHK MED tradition of excellence and brought credit to the CUHK through their humanitarian service to the welfare of mankind

Cultural Accomplishment
To encourage alumni who have typified the CUHK MED heritage of cultural diversity by their personal accomplishment in cultural arts or science which has inspired the profession or the general public at a large extent
