On 7 February 2026, the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK hosted a memorable Medical Alumni Homecoming Day, followed by a Poon Choi Dinner, bringing together over 400 medical alumni and their families to share a special moment of joy and nostalgia on the CU campus. Additionally, a wonderful musical performance was brought by Dr. TSO Kwok Chu (MBChB 1999) and Dr. Jackie FU (MBChB 2001), offering an excellent auditory and visual experience for all attendees.

A special "Time Capsule" ceremony kicked off Homecoming Day, with the theme of “Shape Our Time”.  Officiating guests and alumni, including Prof. Philip W.Y. CHIU, JP, Dean of CU Medicine; Prof. Francis K. L.CHAN, SBS, JP, Choh-Ming Li Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics and the former Dean of CU Medicine; Dr. Bonita LAW (MBChB 1992), Convenor of the CU Medical Alumni Buddy Programme; Dr. Shannon CHAN (MBChB 2007), President of the CUHK Medical Alumni Association; Prof. Enders K.W. NG, Associate Dean (Alumni Affairs) of CU Medicine; Dr. Joseph CHANG (MBChB 2004), Organising Committee member, Dr. Danny LEE (MBChB 1991), CU Medic Buddy; Ms. Nowell WONG, Faculty Secretary and Director of Planning of CU Medicine, and several alumni, placed their memorable items into the time capsule, which will reopen in 2035.

A wide range of engaging activities suitable for all ages were available, including visits to the dissecting laboratory and simulation laboratory, photo booths, and game stations, providing plenty of selfie moments and interactive fun for alumni and their families. Prof. Enders NG wrote spring couplets for the participants, blessing them with a wonderful Chinese New Year.
