Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology
The Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology is a clinical department that includes Anatomical Pathology and Clinical Hematopathology. Our clinical units include anatomical pathology, cytology, ultrastructural study, routine and special haematology, blood bank and stem cell transplant. The Department is equipped with cytogenetic and molecular testing platforms, including next generation sequencing. We not only provide clinical services to hospitals, but also to the private sector including pharmaceutical companies. Training medical students and doctors are an integral part of activities.
We also conduct basic and translational scientific research on human diseases, with a preference for collaborative projects involving various clinical disciplines, basic science departments and overseas collaborators. Using state-of-the-art equipment, we explore a range of topics, especially cancer genomic and pathobiology.
