
The 7th CUHK Medical Alumni Association (CUHKMAA) Programme - SFL Intern Survival Workshop was held on 28 June 2023 with more than 60 participants. The workshop has been well-received by medical interns since its launch in 2017. The workshop offered participants tips and advice on preparing for housemanship, communicating effectively with other healthcare practitioners, and practicing relaxation techniques like mindfulness.
On 24 November 2022, ‘Career Decision Workshop’ also moderated by Dr. Bonita LAW was held at Kai Chong Tong, Postgraduate Education Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital. It was aimed at helping Year 4 to Year 6 medical students map out their future career in the medical field, covering tips on job applications and interviews and training experience.

About 100 CUHK medical students had the opportunity to meet and learn from CUHK medical alumni during the workshop themed ‘How I Survive My Internship and Find My Desired Post?’ on 7 October 2022. During the Career Talk, moderated by Dr. Bonita LAW (MBChB 1992) from the Union Hospital’s Breast Centre, students gained career readiness insights and advices from guest speakers who are currently practicing in various institutions. Students were also briefed on the training programme and its selection criteria.

With the COVID-19 pandemic going on, the 7th O-Camp Gathering with Medic Buddies was held in small groups on 18 August 2022. The Faculty’s latest incoming class of MBChB students joined the O-Camp as they embarked on their journey as budding medical practitioners.
