Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Aiming at developing new preventive and therapeutic modalities for obstetrical and gynaecological diseases, our research includes clinical, scientific and translational projects in areas such as assisted reproduction, maternal-fetal and perinatal medicine, gynaecological endoscopy and oncology and paediatric and adolescent Gynaecology.
We also train doctors and professionals to perform state-of-the-art surgical procedures and laboratory techniques. These include fetoscopic laser therapy, advanced prenatal genomic diagnosis, robotic gynaecological cancer surgery, and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery.
Being the largest O&G unit in Hong Kong, we are also recognised by the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the UK's Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as a training centre for maternal foetal medicine, reproductive medicine, gynaecological oncology and urogynaecology.
