Abstract

Our researchers discovered that squalene epoxidase (SQLE) is a novel oncogene in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (NAFLD-HCC). The study, which provides new directions for the prevention and treatment of the disease, became the cover story of the April 18 2018 edition of Science Translational Medicine , an international medical journal.
