"I have always been concerned about the life of children with cancer ever since childhood. Through GPS, I am very grateful to gain diverse exposure on this field, particularly internship experiences in a hematology laboratory in Hong Kong Children Hospital. It has allowed me to be actively involved in the development of new treatment process for children with leukemia, taking my first step in achieving my childhood dream. With the recognition and support from the scholarship, I would continue to pursue for my aspiration with dedication to help more cancer patients in the future," said Anson.

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund was set up in 1987 to commemorate the late Governor, Sir Edward Youde, for his distinguished contributions. Since its establishment, 5 GPS students have received the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarships for Undergraduate and Diploma Students.
