With the generous support of the Mok Hing Yiu Charitable Foundation, a widely acclaimed scholar will be invited to Hong Kong for scholarly exchange and delivery of a public lecture. 

 

Professor Patrick MAXWELL, Regius Professor of Physic and Head of the School of Clinical Medicine of the University of Cambridge, is invited this year to be the Mok Hing Yiu Visiting Professor. Professor MAXWELL will share with audiences on “Making Precision Medicine a Reality”. Details of the Lecture are as follows:

Professor Patrick MAXWELL

As a clinician scientist Professor Patrick MAXWELL has been centrally involved in a series of discoveries that have revealed how changes in oxygenation are sensed, and how genetic alterations cause kidney disease.

 

Professor MAXWELL is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the Academy of Medical Sciences, Director of Cambridge University Health Partners and a Non-Executive Director of Cambridge University Hospitals, Cambridge Enterprise, Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust and the International Biotechnology Trust. He is Chair of the Medical Schools Council.
