On 21 March 2024, Professor Anthony Smith, Vice-Provost (Faculties) of University College London (UCL), visited CU Medicine.  The two parties exchanged on various areas, including medical education, learning opportunities and research.

The representatives from CU Medicine included Professor Philip Chiu, Dean of CU Medicine; Professor Justin Wu, Associate Dean (Health Systems); Professor Vincent Mok, the Endowed Mok Hing Yiu Professor of Medicine and Master of S.H. Ho College; and Dr Owen Ko, Head of Translational Neuroscience Unit in the Division of Neurology at CU Medicine.

After the introduction of the medical school by Dean, Professor Wu introduced the development of clinical platform in Greater Bay Area and provided an overview of Global Physician- Leadership Stream (GPS) to showcase our potential in health innovation and educational opportunities. Professor Mok and Dr Ko shared the strengths of CU Medicine in neuroscience to explore potential collaboration with UCL.

Professor Chiu presented a unique and meaningful gift—a hand-painted fan by himself to Professor Smith. This exquisite artwork symbolises the deep connection and heartfelt gratitude we share with UCL.

We look forward to the continued growth and success of this partnership.
