The impact of COVID-19 differs among different countries in the Asia-Pacific region, depending on factors such as border control, availability of healthcare infrastructure, adequacy of screening test, and etc. This article “COVID-19: A tale of two pandemics across the Asia Pacific region” presented the influence of pandemic across the Asia-Pacific. It stated good examples in Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia for their successful control measures in response to COVID-19. Another key lesson learnt is the importance of massive screening test and contact tracing, which is effective in identifying asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic patients.
