Gastrointestinal problems in Chinese children with autism spectrum disorder

Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder with a wide range of psychiatric and physical comorbidities. In the study “Gastrointestinal Problems in Chinese Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder”, it identified that children with autism spectrum disorder to be twice as likely to suffer from gastrointestinal symptoms and autism spectrum disorder diagnosis remained the only significant predictor of gastrointestinal symptoms after controlling other potential confounders.
