“I’m particularly interested in neurology and neurosurgery but chose to attach to the Department of Microbiology so I can experience and be in touch with more disciplines within the Faculty, since microbiology implicates many different fields.”
During his month-long attachment in our Department of Microbiology, student Ivan Lau of Queen's University Belfast was involved in ward rounds, clinical consultations, journal clubs and workshops. He appreciates seeing the difference between the healthcare systems in Hong Kong and the UK, enjoys the passion he witnesses in the professors during their teaching and is impressed by the studiousness of local students.
