The review on “Integrated Care: Enhancing the Role of the Primary Health Care Professional in Preventing Functional Decline: A Systematic Review” summarizes existing screening tools that can be used by primary care health providers to recognize older persons with early frailty. Future direction in public health studies using these tools needed to demonstrate their benefits and possible harms is also highlighted (J Am Med Dir Assoc. 2017 Jun 1;18(6):489-494. doi: 10.1016/j.jamda.2017.03.015).

Prof Woo’s research interests include chronic diseases affecting elderly people, nutrition epidemiology and quality of life issues at the end of life; she has published over 550 articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals.
