Liver cancer is the leading cause of cancer mortality. By studying the recent trend of its incidence and mortality, effective public health interventions and clinical practice could be formulated. This study presented the most updated data which had showed that in the last decade, an increasing trend in incidence and mortality of liver cancer had been found especially among male population and the elderly. Preventive measures such as hepatitis vaccination and alcohol consumption reduction should be emphasised in these groups.
