University Of Toronto Student Participates In SURP
Undergraduate student Sadiya Abdulrabba of University of Toronto is among the 80 students selected to join this year’s Summer Undergraduate Research Programme (SURP) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Under the supervision of Prof Carmen Poon from our Department of Surgery, Sadiya is taking part in a research project on “A Wearable Sensor for Detecting Endoleak in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Patients.”
“I have always wanted to visit Hong Kong and SURP provided me the opportunity to do so. I am amazed by how much greenery the city has and the CUHK campus is beautiful. I have met lots of students from all over the world and am enjoying every moment of my stay. I would definitely recommend this programme.”
SURP is an eight-week attachment programme that aims at providing international undergraduate students the opportunity to develop research skills and knowledge while working alongside experts in the field. Students get to enjoy cultural tours to explore the city, attend research talks to expand their horizons, and wrap up their attachment with a poster sharing session.
